The new high end Helios Lightquest-HR observation binoculars combine top features in mechanical and optical design, with outstanding performance to match. They are fully waterproof (IPX7 standard, 1 metre depth for 30 minutes) and nitrogen filled for clear fog-free operation. Individual eyepiece (IF) focusing. Designed for medium-to-long-range terrestrial and astronomical observations. The body material is constructed from magnesium alloy making the binocular extremely lightweight, whilst maintaining a very robust structure. The body is covered in stylish hard textured leatherette. Features high-index BaK-4 prisms and a fully broadband multi-coated optical system and shockproof caged prisms. The high-resolution optical system features high-transmission lens and prism coatings allowing a massive light throughput equal to or exceeding 90%. The lens coatings have an extremely low level of reflectivity, ensuring the maximum amount of precious light is provided at the eyepiece. Images delivered are vibrant, very flat edge-to-edge and virtually distortion free. The eyepiece design (8 elements in 5 groups) features oversized eye lens elements for comfortable viewing and provides a highly corrected image. Fold-down rubber eyecups are provided for spectacle-wearers. Supplied with objective lens caps, eyepiece rainguard, neoprene neck strap and heavy-duty tripod adaptor, in durable padded fabric carrying case.
