Vespera Solar Filter – Observe the Sun Safely with Your Telescope
With the Vespera Solar Filter, you can explore the closest star, the Sun, safely during the day. This filter lets you see and photograph sunspots (dark spots on the Sun’s surface), which indicate changes in the Sun's activity.
Capture Photos of the Sun with Vespera
Switch to Solar Mode in the Singularity app and view the Sun almost in real time. Capture photos directly from the Observation tab at any time of day, week, or month, and compare them to see how sunspots change over time. These spots can last a few days or even weeks, revealing interesting patterns in solar activity.
Track Sunspots Over Time
While automatic video recording isn't yet available in Singularity, you can create animations by saving your photos in JPG format from Vespera’s memory. Use photo or GIF animation software to turn these into time-lapse videos of solar activity.
Safe Sun Observation
The solar filter is crafted from metalized foil, which safely reduces sunlight for clear and safe viewing. The Solar Mode in the Singularity app will guide you through each step, ensuring safe and smooth observation for both you and your telescope.
